michael fassbender was great, keira knightley was brilliant and I loved listening to her voice, freud’s character wasn’t particularly likeable, loved the score, the clothes were SO BEAUTIFUL, the film was generally fascinating.

The Wrestler (2008)

I watched this because of darren aronofsky + clint mansell despite the subject matter which I have no interest in whatsoever (though I guess it isn’t about wrestling like tsn isn’t about facebook), and it was good. mickey rourke was surprisingly good, but the characters were painfully average and desperate and therefore not very likeable. overall it was a good film. if I was interested in wrestling I probably would’ve loved it.
